I’m having a lot of fun drawing these two dudes. But seriously, what is testosterone? Poor Petunia needs to get off Singles Town and maybe take a break from dating. Does she have the worst luck in the world or is she cursed?
I used a 0.5 mm Micron pen on this comic. Usually I mix up the thickness of the tip, but I am thinking that the thicker tip is definitely the way to go for me. I certainly have a taste for thicker tips. Um… I’m not sure I like the way this is coming across…
Say Hello to Ghosteire
I was super pleased to hear from a real-life paranormal investigation couple living and working in Ireland. Apparently Anthony and Jennifer are basically real-life versions of Petunia. It was amazing looking on their website and watching a video where they talk about what it’s like to be a paranormal investigator.
The company they run is called Ghosteire, where they investigate paranormal activity through spiritual experiments and using scientific equipment. They try to pinpoint a detailed history located to a historic location/area. Anthony and Jennifer actually met up while doing ghost-hunting and ended up having a Celtic/Pagan wedding in a castle in which they investigated.
I was so happy to hear from these guys the other day! They rock and are super nice! Check out their website if you have the chance 😀
Hey everyone! I’m really excited because I signed up for a graphic novel writing class this fall. It starts in a few weeks. I hope to learn a lot about the writing of graphic novels and comics. I’m sure it’s going to be very helpful. I’ve never written a story before Paranormal Petunia, but I plan to write many more after this one. For that reason, I am glad the class is focused on the writing of comics instead of the art. Maybe I’ll take a graphic novel illustration class next 🙂
I really appreciate you all for sticking around and reading as I practice, learn, and tell this story. Your thoughts and comments are greatly appreciated. It makes me really happy to read them and know that people are enjoying Paranormal Petunia as much as I am!
You know it’s a bad date when you are having an intense inner monologue instead of a friendly dialogue. I don’t know what it is, but after I drew this guy he immediately reminded me of a combination of Woody Harrelson and Larry Butz from the Phoenix Wright games. He definitely has a Butz thing going on, but that was unintentional. Maybe the Woody Harrelson thing is just because he has a big piece of sushi in his mouth. He’s got that little Harrelson crooked mouth dealio and his nose points downward in a Harrelson-manner.
I’m happy for Petunia! Her work is doing well. There have been lots of new clients (some of which you will meet soon). Overall things are great. There is one exception, however, and it’s her love life. It’s always her love life, isn’t it? She can figure out so many crazy mysteries, but love just isn’t one of them.
